Just an idea guys, but there seem to be a lot of us in the same position here with Grant Thornton, MASSIVE delays in closures and NO communication explaining why. I for one don't feel like I'm getting anywhere on my own, so I wonder if there is any merit in getting a large group of us together to somehow pursue this and force their hand. It's a shame Karol is no longer on these forums as at least that represented some sort of direct contact.

Count me in although depends if this is purely to do with closures because im having delays with my 4th annual review. Every email is ignored and to be honest in my opinion their overall customer serivce has collapsed.

My personal issue is around closures, but I guess communicationn forms part of that.

As I have said numerous times before, people need to bombard the official complaints gateways, which does not appear to be happening.
In theory you should go through the IP's internal complaints process first, but I have read several threads regarding getting no response through this route and, in any case, it is such a clumsy procedure as to warrant a complaint in it's own right!

To be honest Foggy, the official gateways don't seem to be that official at first glance, or maybe I'm just being cynical. They all seem very long winded and geared to make you give up before you even start

Perhaps another course of action would be, to copy in the Office of Fair Trading and the Financial Ombudsman Service. It may put the wind up their clappers. There's nothing to lose.

So as way of an update (and to make sure I've ticked EVERY possible box), I have now formally filed a complaint with the Insolvency Gateway and had confirmation back that they would deal with the query in 15 working days. I'll try not to hold my breath. Sorry for being cynical, but this whole process seems ridiculous

Somebody posted on a different thread about a month ago "shame that Karol doesn't come on these forums anymore". Maybe just couldn't keep coming on and deflecting the criticism when GT weren't actually doing anything about it

She came back on here - she picked up on a complaint I had made & took it on board (whether she actually sees it through & does as she promised is yet to be seen), but I think she has 'disappeared' again.
I e-mailed her direct yesterday & also rang her direct number today (she gave me both number/address) but as yet I have not had a reply to either. I'll give it a few days & give her chance to reply, but then I'm afraid I will be going down the Gateway route if I don't get a reply.

Have you tried emailing your IP's direct?
The two IP's I know at GT are Mark Allen and Gareth Neill..... long shot but may be worth it.

Gareth Neil is my account manager apparently, although I've never had any dealings with him at all apart from his name on the bottom of my annual I&E review letter.

Mine is Gareth Neil but as like you have had no dealings with him
