If you are bankrupt and

if barclays were a creditor included in the barclay card (in a loan, not their credit card)

do they usually offer credit cards to ex bankrupts ? (as they offer a basic account to them)

do they :

a)] offer a barclaycard to the ex bankrupt customer, after the discharge period ?

b) offer a barclaycard 6 years after the bankruptcy, (after it completly removed from your credit file)

are you speaking from experience ?

I don't know for certain but I can't imagine you getting a credit card from a previous creditor. They definitely won't do it before the BR has dropped off your credit file, i.e. 6 years from the date of the BR.

Have you taken expert advice yet flamingate?

Barcalys and Barclaycard were a previous creditor of mine. I owed £2,000 in a overdraft and about £60 on the credit card, i did i soft check on there site and i was told there was a good chnace to be approved(all the comparions sites said that too) when i applied i was rejected on how i had managed my account before. I have completed my IVA 10 months ago and i have cards with other companies.

if you are desperate for a card try Vanquis or Cap one
