Well ... IVA concluded 23 July 2013 and completion certificate issued 10th January 2014.

Customer Services at the Insolvency Service are insisting that I remain on the Register for a further 3 months, "per protocol".

As ever it seems that procedures are not even applied unilaterally at The Insolvency Service.

There does seem to be inconsistency with removal from the register. It does say on the Insolvency website that the entry will still appear for up to 3 months from completion, yet mine was removed as soon as I received my CC. Could it be the IVA company and not the Insolvency Service?

Hi Sensible -- I had an email direct from the Insolvency Service saying my entry had been updated ( which it hasn't) and that I would remain on the register for 3 months.

I queried this and was told: "All cases that have been completed less than a year ago remain on the register for a further 3 months from completion date."

Ah well ..........

I have been told exactly the same thing today. I got GT to email my documents to me as although I completed in December, I still haven't received them in the post! I did the same as you and sent them to the IIR and had the same reply. My status is still showing as 'current' too.

I asked for an explanation and was told they could not explain! So am going further up the line.

I'd be interested to find out what they say. I just naturally presumed our names would disappear from the Register like other forum posters have mentioned previously. I just want it ended[:(!]

I will let you know.

I realise that some readers will take the view that I am "spitting my dummy out" ( and, to a degree, they might be correct). But, if the Insolvency Service themselves cannot apply "policy" consistently across the board, how can they "lord it" over the Service they represent?

More to the point, they are obliged, as civil servants, to address my concerns and not simply try to shrug them off.

And, to be honest, I do not want my details to be on public view longer than need be!

Incidentally --- after being told, first thing this morning, that the register had already been updated -- it hasn't !!!

This could just be due to their update schedule --- which could have been explained to me when I mentioned that I am still showing as current ( but this was ignored).

Thanks BoT and Tinks. I have had my rant and found my teddy again :-)

Just had a bad day with other matters and it kind of spilled over.

Hope it's removed when you look tomorrow. As you know it was one bug bear of mine being on that register, detested every minute.

yeah, Lesly -- I detest the thing and see no reason why it exists as a public access register.

you would think getting the completion cert should be the end but they still make us jump through hoops.

Hope it disappears soon for you
