Hi,

Stupidly I applied for some credit not long after i'd finished paying my IVA but before the 6 yrs for defaults etc etc was up. I can't remember who I went through. It was either Sainsbury or Tesco. All I can see on my credit file is a search for Aviva Central Services.

Can anyone tell me if they are connected to Sainsbury or Tesco? I don't want to use the same people who rejected me if I can help it as they no doubt have my previous application on record.

Aviva are an insurance company, if you have recently had an insurance quote or used a comparison site they can credit check you.

Aviva are not on comparison websites but there are some companies underwritten by Aviva who are on such sites.

You can often see a search under Aviva’s name even if you have not had any quotes directly from them.

A credit check will leave a footprint visible to you and other lenders.
