i have recently had my final closure on my iva. strange i have just had a letter from a debt collection company for one of the debts that was taken care of in the iva i thought that once iva completed they cannot pester you for debts that was in the iva?

In a nutshell they shouldn't be ! You are protected by your IVA and have nothing to worry. I would contact your IVA company and let them know, and I would also write a letter to the debt collection company giving the start and end dates of your IVA and if necessary evidence the original firm was included .... They have bought the debt and in my opinion are probably trying it on

There is a good chance that the DCA don't even know the loan is included in an IVA. They usually buy these loans "unseen" in job lots for pennies in the pound.

As stated by the others, nothing to worry about - send them confirmation of the IVA.

I had one of my debts bought when I only had 1 payment left of my iva so as above they prob don't know you have had an iva.tough titty to them.
