Hi
Just wanted a bit off advice. Washer broke last month had enough in pot thankfully to get fixed. Now fridge freezer with all contents has broke and can't be fixed. Using a spare fridge of mums but she needs back ASAP. My question is this, I have a "very" account with no credit on it but is still live and I can order but never have...would we be able to purchase a fridge freezer and pay back over a few months ... My husband has just had a small payrise which our iva company know about so we could use that to make the payments ... Don't know what else we can do as need the fridge and really don't want to ask for a payment break .. Checked our agreement and we can have up to £500 credit so not sure ? Your thoughts on this greatly appreciated

Hi

Given that your IVA agreement states that you can take up to £500 credit I think you will be fine given your circumstances

All the best and hope they sanction the purchase as it is something we really can't live without these days.

Hope you get sorted, I think a fridge freezer is a necessity rather than a luxury .

I'd be happy to support that if I were acting for you, but just make sure you repay the debt as quickly as possible. If you have not used the account for a while, they may credit check you again for the new purchase, and this will highlight the fact that you have an IVA.

Good news purchase sanctioned which means we didn't have to take the payment break. Mel fridge freezer ordered so it would appear account still live, even offered me 12 months I interest free. Budgeted to pay back over 4/5 months not comfortable having credit but this was a necessity not a luxury. Just hope very don't suddenly decide to credit check a few months down the line :) thanks fir all the advice, don't post often but love this forum and all the helpful advise.
