Hi guys, we made a full and final offer in November last year and by the end of January we free, we were 3years into the iva and all was going well until I lost my job, my dad offered to lend me 4 grand in a full and final offer, for this to be accepted I needed a mortgage statement, a house valuation and a letter from my employer confirming things, the house was shown to be in negative equity and the letter from my boss was no problem, so the creditors were left with little choice but to vote in favour, now look I only ended up paying 5.5p in the pound of the total debt which was £87,500. I can't believe we are free, it's amazing, any way, I now have a new job with more pay and am debt free, we have received the completion cert and really are free, there really is hope it really does end. Good luck to each and every one of you and if any one needs advice please feel free to contact me.

Great post and where I will be in 2 years...but even though I am paying the IVA and I know I will always owe the full amount of my debt until the end, I actually consider myself debt free now, In my mind, I am currently living debt free, no credit and managing well...although I am still paying the IVA, it's kind of like paying back a 5 year loan.
Hope that makes sense...and well done to you for finishing and the best of luck for the future!!!

Know exactly how you feel susie ... I always used to get a kick out of paying for the weekly shop in cash (before I even dared use the debit card). As I have often said on here -- I was better off in the IVA than before it!

I second that Foggy.

I also know what you mean susie.
Well done craigiewicked1. Enjoy your debt free future.
I have just had a written confirmation through the post that our IVA will finish on time, no equity, no extension.
