Hi Liz,

So sorry you have been mis-lead.

How much approximately do you owe? Are you working? Do you own your own home?

There are many options available - so I think the best thing to do is to speak to 2 or 3 different IP firms. We have some professionals on here - you can find there details in ask the experts a question section or check out some companies on www.iva.com.

But if you tell us a little more we can give you some advice on here also.

Sounds like a spectrum case!!!

Speak to a legitimate company as directed above and make a complaint to the financial ombudsman about the company you have been paying for all those years.

Good luck.

I presume the interest has been frozen since the DMP started up until/if you start an IVA?

Which firm are you currently with Liz - and why did they not offer you an IVA from the outset? Have you asked them this question yet, and how much have your debts actually reduced by over the past 8 years?
