Hi folks
Finished iva and received cc. However I am now receiving daily phone calls from EIF (I can see they've phoned from caller display). I have always filled out and returned their forms.
What I would like to know is this: now I have received completion certificate can I tell them to leave me alone?

I really am getting fed up with what I am beginning to feel is harassment. I just want to put the whole thing behind me but these constant phone calls are a reminder. Any advice please?

Hi, what a shame these people harass you after you've completed your IVA and received your certificate. Was it a condition of your IVA closure to fulfill the PPI with EIF? As you've always filled out and sign their forms previously why are they wanting you to complete more assuming that's what they want?

Hi Lesley I filled out the first lot of forms 2 years ago! Then they sent me a 2nd form for an account that had already paid out! They are just incompetent.
I'm not sure if I have to comply with them or not anymore. My proposal was modified to allow the IP to close my iva in spite of any ongoing ppi. I really feel they've had long enough to sort out the claims- surely 2 years is enough? Can I tell them to leave me alone now? What have other people done in similar situations?

If the closure of your IVA was not conditional upon you co-operating with a PPI investigation, then I see no reason why you have to engage with EIF or any other claims management company if you don't want to. It might be best to check this out with your former IP to be sure of the position, however.

There's that much of a backlog at eif I am led to believe that forms we are filling out are running out of time and need re-doing to carry on with claims
ours has been goin on for 3 years now and we are still no nearer. Wouldn't mind but I know we never took these kind of policies out. Hope u get sorted soon..

They should not take the work on if they cannot process it. There are many other good claims management firms out there who have the capacity to take on additional work and will process it in a timely manner. If they cannot get things done on time, perhaps you should consider moving to another firm.

Maybe I have been lucky - I received confirmation from EIF today that there are only 2 creditors who haven't responded yet, the other 4 have confirmed no PPI (which I already knew!) & I only returned my forms 4 months ago.

They have been in touch with me recently as well. I am pretty sure I never took any PPI but felt forced in putting in a claim with EIF by my case officer. I do not feel comfortable with any of it to be honest.
