I am in an IVA finishes July 2016. I had been written to by iva company asking about claiming back ppi to put in my iva. I said no I have no idea if I had ppi. Well I got a letter and a form from Halifax saying my claim company had asked them about claiming back the ppi I checked and this company had same address as my Iva company. Can they do this I have not filled in the form. Thanks

We had to sign a tree worth of documents to give DRSP permission to claim on our behalf. I would assume you should have to give permission or why would companies send it out?? That said, not complying would mean you are in breach of the terms I think and your iva could fail. Give your company a call and clarify.

Hi
I think you will find that amongst all your original paperwork that you signed when your IVA was in the stages of being set up you signed a power of attorney form which entitles your IP to take complete control of your previous financial affairs?

I asked my IP a similar question to yours recently as they successfully claimed a PPI refund from one of our creditors that as far as we were concerned we had never taken PPI out with?

I can't fill the form out I know none of the information and if there was ppi it was 20 years ago surely it can't be claimed?? Thanks
