I work with financial data for a credit reference agency at a management level. I have not disclosed to my firm that I am entering an iva arrangement. I have checked my contract and there is no reference on impact of job if I entered an iva. Do you think there could be a policy I am not aware of which could cause me to lose my job but not referred in my contract. This is worrying me

Hi. Best bet is to check with HR (preferably anonymously).

If you haven't been told you have to report a pending iva or BRuptcy in your employment contract then you are not required to say!

Some jobs require that disclosure report like say the Police and it still doesn't mean you lose you job.
I would sit tight and say nothing.

Hi. I didn't disclose my iva. As far as I'm concerned it's my business as long as you do your job.

I've never disclosed mine to my employer. There's nothing in my contract of employment or HR Policies and Procedures which requires me to. So as far as I am concerned they don't need to be told.

Agree with the above: If there is nothing in your employment terms requiring iva disclosure, then there is no requirement to volunteer this information to your employer.

If you're at a managerial level, you could ask HR 'for a member of staff, off the record'.

But if nothing is stated in contract or in employee handbook etc etc, shouldnt be a problem

I would agree with others if it doesn't require you to in your T&C's of employment then keep quiet. Welcome to the forum too.

I agree with the others. If it's not in your t&c's keep quiet!
