Good evening,we have just received our letter(joint iva) as we are now entering our 5th year.It requests a property valuation, can go with that,a mortgage redemption statement, can go with that,it also requests 2 separate mortgage offers/illustrations.As we are tied in the IVA would I be right I saying we wouldn't be offered a mortgage due to this or do I just have to ask the question and feedback to our practitioners?tThanks

Hi Shane. You need to demonstrate that you have tried and offer proof of the refusals.

Thanks for this Foggy.I have been into 6 banks/building society's today and all refused to complete an illustration and none of them would provide a letter for proof of evidence to say I had been and asked the question due to me being in the IVA.(will remember that when I do change my mortgage). My current mortgage provider will send a letter out, again refusing.I have spoken with my i.p and they told me to complete one online and take a picture of the refusal so that is what I will do.I presume the Iva will be increased for an extra 12 months as per my arrangement.

Hi Shane. Who is your IVA with? Do you think you have any equity in the property?
