Hi, wondered if someone could help me please? We are looking into claiming back PPI ourselves and was wondering if anybody knows where we would need to look for information about creditors we've used in the past? I remember a few but not all?!

Thank you for response, do they not only give you creditors from the last 6 years? I'm wondering about creditors before then?! Will I need account numbers also?

I am presuming all creditors as we found out my husband had PPI on loans & Mortgage that he had with his ex partner 11 years ago, not sure about account numbers I have just had a quick look at my credit report doesn't show them on there but gives you contact details of the creditor

Over the last 6 years will show on your credit reports, which you can get for £2 a pop from each of the three agencies. Industry users I think seem to be able to go back further ( maybe from archived reports).

You will leave no stain on the file by getting copies of your own reports, to which you are entitled.
