After reading 100s of posts about the transfer to cf and the suggested tc we have received which include the ppi carrot .. I am getting confused , during my 4 years with Mel no one at her firm has ever mentioned to me about investigating any ppi ( although I don't have any and if I did they would be from over 12 years ago ) . There is nothing in my papers that I originally signed about ppi , so the question is " why has nobody ever discussed this with me during the past 4 years ? " as it appears many others have had this discussion with their IP before the CF transfer

Just a matter of timing I guess. No IVA had PPI specifically mentioned as this falls under the definition of assets and was not an issue a few years ago.

Many newer arrangements are having PPI investigated early, as everyone is now aware of it. Older arrangements are having investigations started as the IP's get around to it, some even after the final payment has been made!

Oh I understand now .. Thank you .. I don't think they will have much luck cause if I was misold any ppi it would have been over 12 years ago .

You might be surprised, Can.

I was adamant there was no PPI .... they found £8k plus ! It was actually on a very old loan that had been consolidated a couple of times, the original consolidation included a PPI premium added into the settlement sum. I have no idea how they discovered it .. but they did !
