Hi. I completed my IVA in August of 2013. All credit has been cleared on my Credit File apart from one debt to Barclays bank. Although being included when I entered the IVA in 2008. Barclays are showing in defaulted at the completion date of the IVA and not the start date. So, if they are allowed to show the default for six years, it means my Credit will not be clear for a total of 12 to 13 years. Can they do this?

No they cannot do this -- but it might be a bit of a struggle to get them to comply. Have you tried yet?

There is some useful info in the following link and a template letter:

Write to them, attach a copy of your completion certificate, I am sure they will amend their records once you do that.

Seems like Barclaycard doesn't like to acknowledge that we have completed our IVA's. I also have them showing on my credit file. I have sent them a copy of my CC and Noddle will also contact them for me. Just waiting now to see what happens
