Hi all,

I just got an email re the expectance of a red letter and the standing order change over, but this hit my spam folder.

I have just spoke to Craig at Creditfix and a few people have called concerned about this today.

He has confirmed that yes the standing order details are changing, as this was discussed the end of last week and a lot of staff are working this coming weekend to help deal with the forms due in.

I have forwarded the email onto him and he is looking at this tonight or tomorrow morning for me as I was concerned regarding the validity and he doesn't know who Nicky Reid is, and is speaking with a director regarding this.

He has told me also that while the standing orders are changing over, if your payment is due the next few weeks just pay it like normal, and they will transfer it across their end. They are expecting their to be an overlap, but should check if your payment bounces back after a few days. You can then pay this over the phone instead, alternatively, just call and pay over the phone.

I shall let you know when he has replied to the email I forwarded him of the email sent out.

I was of the understanding that YOU the account holder, set up standing orders with your bank!

The recipient, in this case CF, cannot set up a Standing Order only a direct debit!

A standing order (or a standing instruction) is an instruction a bank account holder ("the payer") gives to his or her bank to pay a set amount at regular intervals to another's ("the payee's") account. The instruction is sometimes known as a banker's order.

Hi Rock20,

I was a retail banking manager for 4 years and explained to him that it sounds like a direct debit instruction, not a standing order.

I have requested their bank account details for me to set it up. If they don't provide them, I find that very concerning and would rather pay over the phone with a valid payment reference number given at the end.

I agree Mrs R.
I have emailed CF concerning the crass content of the email.

I too have emailled them about this.
We set up and deal with a SO not them. Im not setting up a DD for them. We pay manually at present as never set up a SO for Mel due to changing amounts at the start which dhe was fine with. Have never missed a payment as set in my head now about its due date. Will wait snd see whats in this delightful red envelope!

I hate the thought of a red envelope coming through my door !

Never had one before and don't feel we should be getting one now !

We know our postmen and women too- it will be embarrassing beyond belief !

I'm not moving my SO

If they try to fail the IVA that will be a mistake as I have 2 letters 1 from PJG and 1 from creditfix stating that there will be no changes.

I'll go after both IP's with a view of removal from office. (I have nothing to lose and they have everything to lose, its a dangerous card for them to play)

I've already copied in the new lot to let them know my thoughts.. its not my fault they failed to carry out due dilligence

I have also got the email. Its really got my hackles up. So I have to respond to this urgently?? Maybe if they could put a bit more time and manpower into sorting out my issues and annual review that is still outstanding from October, I would be more inclined to respond to them. I have always been under the impression too that it was best for iVA payments to be as a SO and not DD, that way we have the power to change them as necessary. Infact it was mel herself that explained this to me at the beginning. Sorry. I'm not at all impressed as you can tell!!
