Have a look on iva news about Harrington brooks and what they have been ordered to do.
Might help those making f&f offers.

What actually is a mass variation meeting ?
I want to get an F&F sorted and will this affect that at all?

Where does the Mass variation come in? Does this mean that even if we don't sign they can get the t&cs passed and we are lumped with them? If that's the case why did they send us a letter each asking for permission? Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, all this carry on is bothering me big time.

AbbiesMum...I'm not sure either just wondered what it's all about. Just fed up with all the s**t tbh like everyone else. Glad for this forum, I just wish that Susan would either write to us all or send an email to answer all the general non case specific questions and put our minds at rest. We'll all be increasing our prescription allowance soon for medication, wonder if that would be allowed especially if we tell them the reason!!!!

Joanna Elson, chief executive of the Money Advice Trust, commented:
“We are pleased to see the FCA take the first of what we hope will be many interventions in the fee-charging debt management sector. The high fees that these profit-driven companies charge only serve to add to their customers’ debts, and in many cases we have no confidence that they are giving people the right advice.”
