I completed my Iva in dec after 6 long miserable years, 4 creditors have not claimed the money so have basically not confirmed I owed them any money but what I don't understand is my supervisor decided to pay some to them anyway, if they hadn't paid them my other creditors who took the time to vote and put claims in would get their full amount and I may actually have a return, how can I check if these were actually paid by the iva company

Sounds horrible but the actual protocol only really states that the IP might consider a return to you.

THe IP should be able to provide you with an account of claims lodged, and proven, and dividend payments made. I doubt you would have had a return unless the other creditors had been paid in full, as well as the fees and possible statutory interest, which kicks in if the dividend covers the full original debt.

Hi Michelle - Ive never paid a creditor who hasn't claimed so this sounds strange. Usually you would send them a final notice and if they didn't claim then they don't get any dividend. Contact your IP per Foggy's advice if you want to clarify the claims position.
