Hi, I have recently gained a place at university to undertake a nursing degree, the course is paid for by the nhs, i was hoping to go through on a secondment from my employer, however they have lost the funding. I now have to apply for student finance if i wish to continue, this is something i really want to do in order to secure my future, i am confidant i can continue to pay the iva which i have been in for 3 years. Are you allowed to apply for finance, i really dont want to ring the iva company just yet, i get so nervous when i ring them, i dont know why they really good.

There is another post on the same theme and there should be no problem. However you will need to speak to your IP to review your I&E and show how you will be able to maintain the IVA payments while back at college.

The loans are repaid outside any arrangement anyway and usually after the IVA is completed so there should be no problem.

Your IP firm will be there to help but if you are a bit nervous send an email to them with your query and that should get answered pretty quickly.
