Hi,
I am just trying to get british gas to amend a default date. I have been given an address of (British gas, Housesteads, off Stockport Rd, Hettersley, SK14 3QU)does anyone know if this is correct, I can't find a contact number to call and chase, and this is the one default that is months out of date and is going to hold things up.
I was also a little confused, as I've wrote to some other creditors, and the company they used for the IVA (The insolvency exchange) have wrote to me to say they've amended the date. Do I write to who acted for them or the comany direct? I've done some reasearch and they seem a pain to get anything changed!!

Hi Steven I only have details for their insolvency team but they may be a good starting point for you:
The Insolvency Team
British Gas
PO Box 94
Hyde
Cheshire
SK14 3EF
Tel: Bankruptcy: 0845 60 60 0435
As regards the other creditors I would contact both to cover all bases.

No it doesn't seem to be, sorry! Try 0845 070 0924 - this is the number for the corporate insolvency team but they should be able to help point you in the right direction.

If no luck write to their data protection officer asking that they amend factually inaccurate information.

I've already done that lifenoteasy and had no reply, been on the phone most of the day. The phone number Lisa has given me have asked me to email in and they will forward it on to their Personal Insolvency team, another phone call is emailing the data protection team and another phone call has lead to an email going to the bankruptcy team. Hopefully between one of them, they should sort it! I have also spoke to experian who can't do much, although they have said if British Gas don't reply to their letter, the account will be suppressed so no lenders searching my file can see it. Sounds better than a NOC. We'll see!!
