I have multiple debts on credit card, if I had a loan for £18000 it would be sorted but have been declined.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Are you struggling in general with your debts - why not give a debt expert a call maybe and talk through options. There are several options out there to help get you back on track but they would need to be case specific and talked through with an expert. All the best there will be a solution for you.

Hi Ian, there are several options, as lesley mentions and a chat with a couple of insolvency firms will give you some guidance.

An IP will take account of all of your circumstances to give you advice on the best option for you.

It is getting more difficult to obtain consolidation loans and often they are not the correct solution anyway. As the others say get advice from an IP firm as to all the options and there will be a suitable one there for you.

Just to add my voice to the others on here advising you to speak to an IP or debt advisor. A Consolidation Loan isn't always the right solution - whilst it gathers all your debts into one place, the result can sometimes be a larger debt that, over time as circumstances change, can be harder to meet each month. I've been down that road myself and it was very stressful and miserable. Being turned down for a Consolidation Loan was the catalyst that led me to looking into an IVA as an option, and it's absolutely the best financial move I ever made. I can't say if it would be the right thing for you, but I'd strongly advise you to take professional advice and look into it and other options.
