I've started IVA proceedings via a company called CreditFix. Are they a legitimate company?

Yes - but having been transferred to them a lot of us would say shop around.

Yes they are a legitimate company and do seem to handle the running of an IVA pretty well. However, they have just taken over a couple of other firms and the experience hasn't been all good for those being transferred.

If you haven't done so already, I would suggest a chat with a couple of firms as well as a look around the forum.

An IVA lasts for 5-6 years normally so you want to be comfortable with your chosen firm. Make sure your IP is approachable as this could be important at a later stage.

Hi Angela - most good IPs will give you a free initial meeting so you can look them in the eye and decide if they're right for you! I would suggest you look for a smaller firm in your local area.
