Hi

IVA started in 2010. I am ordering credit reports to see the state of play with dates, sold on debts by lenders etc with a view to everything dropping off file next year and then getting a new mortgage.

I've just ordered Equifax report and noticed that it has a history section now for archived Equifax Credit Reports & Equifax Credit Scores. Is this new or have I never seen it before? Anyway - it states archive status "6 years" with today's date. The assumption being that this bad IVA showing report will now be on my credit files for 6 years from today.

Anyone noticed this?

I am wondering if these reports are available to lenders and if so this means I have another 6 years of IVA being on file via reports which show it's presence?

I wouldn't recommend ordering a report from Equifax until this is clarified.

I'll keep this post updated but I just wondered if anyone has come across this?

Bw

I would query this direct with Equifax. I doubt the lenders see it, I believe they don't get to see current credit scores, so doubt they will see old ones

I have sent them an email asking for clarification. I hope they aren't but I want to be certain future lenders won't be able to see them...

Hi tulac,

I assume you are getting your report via the monthly free trial system rather than the standard £2 credit report?

I knew that all the credit reports you request were available to you on the monthly system via the report archive section on your account for a twelve month period.

Lenders don`t see the requests you make for your own credit report and I thought actual lender searches remained on your file for a period of twelve months.
