Congratulations to all those that have recently received completion certificates from GT.
My story with GT so far;
Started my IVA in Oct 2009 with B&E transferred to GT in 2011 this was the beginning of a nightmare.
Cutting a long story short last payment made in June 2014 with a 100% payback to all creditors inclusive of GT's excessive costs.
All PPI done and finished some of which was returned to myself.
I have emailed, phoned and done everything possible to get my CC of them with no joy whatsoever, I have spoken to Karol at GT who informed me months ago that my case was being dealt with and would be completed very soon.
What a joke ! We are now in the middle of August ! I came home from work yesterday to find a big white envelope on my doormat from GT, I was so excited thinking at last its all over, but No not possible, inside the envelope was papers for both my wife and I to sign to enable Grant Thornton to claim PPI from our creditors.
What on earth is wrong with these people at Grant Thornton are they really that thick ?
Grant Thornton have to be the most incompetent company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
My IVA is done, finished last payment made in June 2014.
My 6 years are up on 25 October 2015 yet Grant Thornton can still reap misery on people !
WHY ARE GRANT THORNTON ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH THIS CONSTANTLY ?
THEY ARE PATHETIC TO SAY THE LEAST.

Hi

Was the PPI fully investigated by GT or one of their recommended companies prior to June 2014 ?

Hi Andy, GT never had any interest in PPI as I paid 100% to all.
I have an email from Karol telling me GT has no interest in any PPI claim.
I have claimed myself and had it back paid to me with GT's blessing.

Hi

Yes you are correct, you have repaid 100p dividend so no need for any further money

Write to GT asking for a completion certificate within 14 days otherwise you will lodge a formal complaint with themselves and the Insolvency Service

Must be driving you nuts !!

Regards

I've been there so many times with GT. Each time I think things are about to progress to the next phase GT find a way to deflate the spirit. Like you I didn't choose them, they took over MD&C. Hopefully it won't be long for you now

Politely return the documents to Slater Hayward stating that they have been sent in error and refer them back to GT.

Complain about GT to the Insolvency Service stating given th e level of chasing that you believe that they have ignored all reasonable attempts to resolve this matter and that GT have failed to exercise any control in closing your IVA in a reasonable timescale.

State to GT that as all the IVA was paid as 100p in the £ they are now failing to ensure that interested third parties have accurate information and this is causing harm under s10 of the DPA and quanitify the harm as the amount you paid every month x 5 months and that will increase for every month you now wait.
