Hi

I completed a iva in 2010. I`m Appling for a job in which adverse credit checks are completed. When they do the search will my previous iva show up?

There is no information on the register and my credit files are all up to date. In the past I have turned down jobs which do adverse credit checks. I just not sure if my past iva will show up in the checks.

It is not just whether they do an adverse credit check but also ask directly if you have ever been in an IVA.

I'm afraid it will come down to how far back do they intend to go.

Hi and welcome,

It might be worth making an anonymous call to check if they are against anyone in an IVA.

Check if you're on the insolvency register https://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/

check via your credit reports if it is still listed on there by requesting statutory reports from each of 3 agencies https://www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/e ... dit-report a quick way to check one is sign up with noddle

Also check if the employer is in anyway linked with any of your former creditors who share data.

If it is more than 6 years since you entered into the agreement it should be gone from credit reports, though personally I don't think to should be 6 years and am challenging the CRA's over this http://www.iva.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TO ... Legitimate )
