So I am nearing the end of my IVA, only a few months left, so I am starting to think about repairing my credit rating with a view to getting a remortgage for a better deal some time in the future.

So my question is........

Are there any companies that would consider giving me a credit card while in an IVA? or will they all fall about laughing when they see my credit score? ha!!

You may get a Vanquis card but be sure and get approval from your IP first. However it may be better to wait until the IVA is over as rejections could further damage your credit file unless the company carries out a 'soft' search which mitigates the problem.

Personally I'd wait, I did and then go the Vanquis card - it did the job for me and just in the last month have my banks credit card now.
