Hi
I was in an IVA and have completed nearly 3 years ago and i have very minimal payments.
I am looking to get married next year with my Fiance but she currently owes £21000 on various credit card and has a mortgage with £120000 worth of equity in her property.
we are looking to get a remortgage for her to clear these debts and release some equity but are are hitting a brick wall with affordability as i have agreed to go on the mortgage with her.
i earn over £25000 pa but cannot find a broker who is willing to help.
Does anyone have any idea for a broker that can help us.

Contact Ryan or Shaun, both forum experts in mortgages. There contact details can be found under ask the experts a question or the members button under the a-z.

Hi and welcome. as Luluj says Ryan and Shaun have both helped a few posters so it may be a good idea to have a chat with them to get their expert views.
Good luck and hope one of them can assist.

Hi Andrew1258-
There is a lot of information that I would need to know but for starters, can you advise what date you entered in to the IVA please?

Hi Ryan,
I entered the IVA in 2008 and completed in 2013 so 3 years ago.
My credit file is all up to date and is clean and my IVA dropped off 3 years ago and i am well on track.
I am just a worried as my partner wants to remortgage as i earn a decent salary and wants me on the mortgage as we plan to get married and live in the property.
can we get a remortgage and will we be accepted as it using her equity.

Thanks Ryan for listening when I contacted you today and putting our minds at ease regards remortgage.
I will have a chat with my fiance this weekend as it is a joint decision and will decide about the best course of action.
Just a relief to know that we can move forward and you and your team can help us and advise and is very much appreciated .

My fiance has started Temping and is looking to full time employment.
I think the best option is for her to get back in the groove of things as if we are going for the option of a new mortgage she needs to be working as well to contribute.
Just so glad I spoke to Ryan and his team and that we can move forward.
I was in an IVA and completed 3 years ago and have an up to date Credit Report with all greens and no reds.
I have got a Vanquis Credit Card that has a credit limit of £1000 but glad it's that as I pay it off with loads more than the minimum every month.
