Well my sister suggested we sign up for love2shop vouchers this time last year. We looked at budget and have been paying direct debit into it. Was worried about it being questioned on our I&E (i posted about my concerns on here if any of you remember!) Well its still a month to go to big day and we have nearly done all our shopping with 2 pay days still to come. Feel very relaxed and calm about christmas -bills are paid, children getting gifts theyve asked for, no awful credit statements to dread in January! People are saying its too early to think about christmas but theyll be the ones (as i was) that will stick it all on a CC in Dec! Ive signed up again for next years batch already!

Brilliant! I do online surveys all year round and get vouchers for them which I give out as Christmas presents. Only uses up time so Christmas costs me very little.

We also do the love2shop vouchers, during the IVA we managed a small but very helpful amount to help with Christmas. However this year with the IVA behind us we put away a good amount and have got some really good expensive pressies for the Grandkids with vouchers to spare. They are a godsend and we will continue to get the vouchers year on year.

I actually have had better Christmases since being in the IVA, I no longer spend what I don't have and it's a great feeling in January when you don't have the bills flowing in. It's the same food wise - we put away an amount each month onto the Asda savings card and come next month we will have £300 on it which will cover food, drinks and anything else. Not started pressie's yet but the money is put away for it all anyway. It's a great lesson the IVA teaches you albeit a costly one.

Just make sure your payments are protected in case Love2shop goes bust!

I prefer to put some money aside each month into my own savings account towards Christmas, then I don't have to worry about anyone going bust!

We all have our own ways of funding Christmas and so long as it works for you then that's the main thing.

I used to be with Park when in an IVA but this year, I've got a few vouchers and will to up a little with cash.

To be fair we've cut back a lot on presents and the grandchildren get my main attention all 10 of them, bless them.

Yes Lisa, 4 children and 10 grandchildren and one child has no children yet she's far too career mined but I expect that will change one day.
