It's been a long time since I've posted. It was this time last year that I was really down, not sleeping, not eating and just very unhappy.
What a difference a year makes. This Christmas I'm not worried about money, I got everyone presents and I'm not living out of a cardboard box!
Huge thanks to everyone that gave me great advice. Only 4 more years to go!
Now it's my turn to impart a bit of advice. Listen to the guys on the forum. They know a hell of a lot. They practically walked me through the entire process, even when I was petrified and not thinking clearly.
Best of luck to all of you and Merry Xmas
X

I remember hitting the one year anniversary...we hit half way this month! Its amazing how time flies!
Christmas is more relaxing knowing its all paid for and no horrid bills coming. Ok you have to budget/plan/limit what you get people but i find im more thoughtful rather than buying rubbish for sake of it on a CC!
You sound much happier, long may it continue! Wishing you and yours a merry christmas!

watzki, probably sound advice, but an IVA is a long hard journey for most of us, and I suppose we all deal with it in our own ways. But I am sure some of us will appreciate my work balance and life and constantly on the move and living away from home to ensure I get through this process if I was to explain to my IP everything I done workwise
I would be a complete pain to them and confuse the hell out of them. This then would involve me getting bogged down in minor details which I would not have time for as working in excess of 60 hours per week. As long as I live within the terms of the agreement I see no reason to explain to my IP except of an annual basis through my review

Kind of agree with suc - some companies appear to barely have the staff to cope with the routine work let alone dealing with every change that may happen.
Also some companies seem to have a big brother approach based on its all the debtors fault (the god complex linked to the legal clause that says that an ip is never wrong even when they are).
Not all companies are like this and how often you keep them updated on changes will come down to how responsive they are generally and how involved the ip is involved in the day to day running of things.
