Iv been in my iva for over 6 months... It's not been easy.. Far from it actually but I feel I'm getting there..
A real low point in my life got me in to the mess I was in.. With the iva its helped me stop worrying stop feeling suicidal and helped me look forward to the birth of my 2nd child and be able to focus on the good things instead of the rut I was in!!!!
Just wanted to share as I had to ring in today to IVa provider and it makes me very anxious as it reminds me about it all but it was def right decision for me..
I have a question for mike if you are about..

Hi,
Glad things are going ok and congrats on the impending arrival!!
Mike doesn't post often on here - his details are probably under the 'Ask Experts a question' link on the left hand side of the page.

Thank you . this site and the process we have all went though has truly humbled me that there are truly lovely ppl out there .
Maybe you or someone else can answer... I would ring my iva provider but when I do as much as they are nice they seem very busy..
I have 2 jobs and when I applied for iva I gave the amount I got paid in 2nd job at the time.. Since getting the IVa I take any additional hours going. I pay uplift every month.. My wage in 2nd job changes all the time.. Will they demand I change it to a higher amount when my annual review comes up?? I just need to know what I'm doing is right..
As much as the IVa has helped me there are a few unanswereds that cause me anxiety.

Hi glad to read the IVA is helping you Your IP is there to work with you and try not to feel anxious as nobody is here or in your IP practice to judge you
If your 2nd income fluctuates then I'm sure they cannot ask for the higher amount to base the payments on, have a chat with them they'll be able to give case specific advice.

By all means contact me directly and I will do my best to help. However I would say that if you are paying an uplift each month this will not lead to higher payments on the annual review. Overtime or extra hours are not guaranteed and therefore are dealt with monthly. If the IP upped your monthly payment and you cut down your hours then the payments would have to be reduced anyway. I don't think there is much to worry about.

Thanks guys

as always!! Thanks mike.... It maybe sounds like I'm bring silly but when it comes to my iva .. It sums up a horrible part of my past and is the last thing to cause me anxiety... When I got my iva I took the massive step of reporting abuse that happened years ago.. It's all finally put behind me and I just want to ensure there's no nasty surprises coming up... My son and my unborn child needs me tip top.
Getting an iva and how they work is an unknown to me but with you guys helpful advice I'm getting on top of it

No question is too silly and I can fully understand why you would think through every possibility. The IVA should never have any nasty surprises especially when are complying with all your obligations like you are. Feel free to call or email at any time even if it is just for a little reassurance.
