Hi
We have just received our 6 month notice prior to the end of the 5th year....over the last 5 years we missed 3 payments due to issues.
we would rather not add these to the end but have no other way of paying it. However what would happen if I arranged with my mortgage company a payment holiday and used that money to cover the missed 3 months payments. Would they see this as 'extra' money that should be paid into the plan the same way as the vast amount of PPI they already had of us

I would suggest that you speak to your IP company and explain this to them.
It may be that your mortgage company may let you take a break but bear in mind that either way you are going to have to add payments on either to the IVA or the mortgage.

Hi
Yes we are aware of that but just want to get out of this as quickly as possible...might be a bad idea or something we decide not to do I just don't want to put it passed the IVA company if I'm likely to open up a can of worms.

Would your mortgage company allow you to do this? I tried with mine and they wouldn't let me do it.

Nationwide can arrange a 3-12 month payment holiday dependent on the type of mortgage. But haven't approached them yet just playing with some ideas

Personally I would just let the extra 3 months play out rather than go to all the hassle.

I agree with Lisa.
