So my IVA is all finished, last payment made in December, just waiting for CC now

So I am thinking about remortgaging in the to get a better deal in the future, so my questions are;

1. How long should I leave it before I try and remortgage?

2. Are there any companies that will do a remortgage after an IVA?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

You can speak to either Ryan or Shaun who are the resident mortgage experts on here - details can be found under the ask experts a question link on the left hand side of the page.

They have been instrumental in helping a lot of posters on here.

Once you have your CC your credit file should be updated accordingly.

Check it then to make sure there are no defaults.

You might find this quick video I made useful:

Also check out Noddle and Clearscore who give free reports:

Once you have your CC your details should come off the IVA register.

Once all that has been sorted and you have a deposit Ryan and Shaun should be able to help you out - they are the mortgage experts on here.
