Just a quick note to say this month I've reached the half-way point in my IVA!

Anyone just starting, trust me the time flies. I cannot believe how quickly it's going.

At the start, 5 years just seems like a life-sentence. But once you get in the swing of it, time flies!

And I wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone on here for the help and advice along the way [:D]

The time flies faster towards the end too! Unfortunately in our case though it was also the time things started needing replacing!!

Know that feeling - especially when you know the replacement is a fudge based on minimum possible rather than what will last longer and give better value for money.

Yes time does fly.we finish this year thinking back to 2010 and starting on the road of a six year iva (because of northern rock) we thought we would never make it.But now we are sailing on a full tail wind.Soon no debts and a life without credit cards is going to be a blessing,no dreaded statements every month,no loan repayments to meet only the mortgage.I honestly can't wait, and all that lovely money I pay each month will be ours

10 more payments for us,I can not wait! It's been a tight almost 6 years, all our own fault though and it feels great to be getting back on top of things. Can't wait to treat the children this Christmas as it's been hard telling no you can't have it because I've got no money! Good luck everyone, just keep plodding on a bit longer:-)

For all those in an IVA no matter where, remember it will end and each payment is a month closer.

Sometimes the journey can seem long and arduous but in the end you will be debt free, keep going.

Hoping the forum helps you along the way.

Well said Lesley ... all of you need to be very proud of your achievements. At the time that last payment leaves your account you will be debt free ... you have achieved something that many people are too scared to even contemplate .. well done x
