Hi all.I was wondering if anyone can help with my enquiry.Me and my partner made our last payment to DFD the 28th November 2015.I rang them last week and was told the IVA has now been sent to creditors on the 24th February 2016,and we should get our certificate 4-6 weeks later. Why does it take so long ? They have received Deeds of Assignment,PPI details etc.Has anyone with DFD received their certificate earlier than what they state.Everyday the post comes and nothing.! It will be seven years this year as we took IVA out August 2009....

Hi I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'the IVA was sent to creditors on 24th February'?

Can you clarify this please.

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately DFD are known for taking their time sending out completion letters.

Send Laura Harrop an email (details under the expert link) as she is from DFD and may be able to answer your question.

I think the lady I spoke to meant the IVA is now at its final stage.I also received a letter dated January 2016 saying the final review was being done and the CC will be with us in due course!Thank you both for your replies.I will attempt to contact Laura.

Thank you Doneover,it is just so frustrating when you have complied with everything they ask for and then they keep you waiting.I am hoping Laura from DFD will see my post and contact me.I have tried to contact her before regarding another query but she never replied ! Really pleased that you have received your CC and all the best for your debt free future.

I'M NOT SURE WHY ITS TAKING SO LONG - EVEN IF THEY ADVERTISED FOR CLAIMS THE DEADLINE WOULD HAVE BEEN BY MID JANUARY THE LATEST.

I think it's an absolute disgrace that certain companies take such an age to issue CC especially after the individual keeps to their part of the bargain!! Why do they feel the need to keep the stress of it all ongoing? People want to get on with their lives!

I agree Mr Frugal. It just baffles me that it takes so long for a piece of paper to say that its all over..
