Wonder if anyone can help! IVA is finished but still on the credit agencies and the insolvency register, CC received 3 weeks ago (plus it's over 6 years on the IVA) - just realised that the IVA is in my maiden name but all my credit files are in my married name? They are saying that's the reason it's still showing up?! Can anyone help?! We are going for a mortgage and it's the only thing stopping us! Thanks

Hi,
The Insolvency Register should be updated within three months regardless although it won't hurt to send a copy of your CC to them together with an explanatory letter stating that you have married since then. You could also speak to your IP and ask them to help.

Thanks for your response kallis. So does the register have an impact on the credit agencies report? I didn't think it did! I just thought once I send the credit agencies my CC then they remove it off the file? Or is that not the case? Thanks

No, it doesn't. Hopefully they will remove the details from the credit agencies but not totally sure as you changed your name.
It does take up to three months for the Register to update.
