Hi I have finished my IVA in 2014. Prior to that I had numerous payday loans finishing one to take out another . and rolling loans over at a £7 charge each time, which I was never aware of. Desperate times I never missed a payment on the IVA or the payday loans. I am hoping to claim the interest from all these companies.Clearly a credit check was not done. The financial ombudsman has been involved and 8 weeks is up. Now I'm in touch with the financial ombudsman again. These companies are saying the can't respond in the 8 weeks due to high demand of people claiming. In your opinion am I likely to get any refund. Oh the cheque centre paid me £1000 refund.

Hi and welcome,

No idea on this one - hopefully one of the other posters will be able to help.

I don't know the exact answer but I would think that this might be a little tricky as it might fall into the same category as the PPI issue which is currently going through the Court of appeal not due to be heard until later this year now I believe.

Just bear in mind that the IVA may have a claim on this refund. You might want to keep hold of it until the Wright v Green case is heard.
