Hi all
Its been a while since we last posted on here however we have continued to look in.
Changing times in the debt advice sector that is arguably having an effect on the IVA Industry and some very interesting subject threads on this open forum seem to reflect this.

Just general comments

Always a pleasure to speak with you
Interesting & changing times I'm sure you agree

Glad to see you are back too. The industry is going through trying times and many of the changes are for the worse and not the better.

Presently, as an insolvency firm we are not regulated by the FCA but this may of course change. Debt management looks to be heading in the direction of one or two major players funded by the banks with little or no commercial competition. Personally I believe in choice and provided the client is made aware of their options they should be entitled to use an independent professional firm.

Yes, the Debt Management potential trend is what I meant with regards to the FCA & of course with the two players that I think you mean:) have IVA departments so to speak - so any big shift towards them DMP wise will likely have a knock on effect IMO - however time will tell as always

Oddly enough the figures for IVAs for the two biggest DMP providers seem to have collapsed in the last year. I wonder why this is.

Choice is important when deciding how to resolve your financial difficulties .. only having potentially two DMP options really does hinder a debtors decision in my opinion.
