You have to wait for your credit files to clear up. Have a read here:

Hi,

Have you checked to make sure that all defaults have been removed? If not then you need to send a copy of your completion to any that are still defaulting and tell them to remove the date back to the date of the start of the IVA.

Mortgage wise you can speak to either Shaun or Ryan (details under the ask experts a question link on the left hand side of the page) who are brilliant at getting posters a mortgage.

You might find this quick video I made about cleaning up your credit record useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:

I finished my iva three years ago...Now here's the thing you don't need to do much at all...It repairs itself once all record of your IVA has gone, you're a credit virgin far be it a problem it's a good thing so within that three year period got a regular high st mortgage top fixed rate & car (all normal criteia apply like wages etc..The only thing I said no to was on the mortgage application form was if I'd been in an IVA...why you ask well statute the highest law in the land says so, well not true in that sense but it rules that all trace of it disappears and hence you'll see nothing on your credit record..the CR comapnies haven't done it out of the kindness of the harts the LAW makes them do this, this is the case so it's none of the banks business..

There's a few on here that got themselves wrapped in god knows what! But it's just mortgage envy..

Think forward and never let you're old IVA hold you back

Best of luck
