I received my completion certificate 7 years ago and now I have no record of my IVA on my credit file etc. Today I have had a call from a company trying to say I can now claim back PPI, previously anyone who has had an IVA could not. I have no interest in doing this, I think its a bit of a cheek to be honest. My worry is that someone somewhere has got this information about my past history - as far as I was concerned it was dead and buried. How can his happen ?

When you say your credit file is cleared have you checked your report with all of the 3 main lenders?

Experian, Equifax and Callcredit?

I suspect the PPI is just a cold call/spam, not necessarily based on facts.

I agree with Lisa. Probably just a cold call as these firms sent out millions.

I also agree that is a cold caller - I get them all the time and tell them to get lost.
