Iva completed Jan 2016!!!No certificate of completion yet, been advised at the time of completion via Debt Free Direct can take upto 6 months -now nearly 10 months?

Is this normal practise?I have contacted Debt Free Direct and they have passed my questions to the relevant department, but no response yet.

Does this effect my credit score being improved, waiting for this certificate?

Any help or suggestions would help moving forward

Your score will improve at the 6th anniversary as defaults drop off, but the IVA itself ( which is the biggy) won't go until the completion certificate is issued and the 6 years have passed.

10 months with no good reason is not acceptable -- I would consider making an official complaint which can be escalated to their regulators.

In the first instance though -- contact Laura Harrop on customersupport@fairpoint.co.uk

I agree - you need to start making noises about why this is taking so long as it is (potentially depending on your start date) delaying your ability to start tidying up your credit record.

Hi all.

Just an update.

I have contacted Debt Free Direct via the phone and they have passed this case onto the completion so team again, they have stated a response should be back with me within 5 working days!not hopeful thought as I have been through this process before and nobody's from the completions team contacted me.

I have emailed Debf Free Direct to log a complaint also.

I have also contacted Laura via mail.As yet no response.

Hi all.

I've been emailed.yay!

''Following a recent review of your case, I am sufficiently satisfied with the conduct of your arrangement and your case will now progress through the closure process.

I anticipate that your Certificate of Completion will be issued within 4 weeks.'

Hopefully this will be the case. Its very frustrating that after 10 months from my last payment you have to chase these people for what is yours to be received. It feels like since they had my last payment, this has just been left and left and not important to them.

Hopefully the certificate will be recieved.once gained I will follow the correct complaint procedure as it's just not good enough in my eyes.
