Hi I have just received my completion certificate from Vanguard (just took over Kingsgate Insolvency). I am now trying to remove the IVA from the court information section on my Equifax credit report. But not sure how to do this, or if I need to do anything.
The IVA is dated in the court date section as 30/4/10 of which 6 years have passed since the IVA was approved so I automatically thought it would be deleted/removed but it's still detailed in the court section. Do I need to contact the court or is this done as part of the completion process by my IVA provider. Or do I just send a copy of my completion certificate to the credit reference companies and they remove it.

Any help and guidance will be very much appreciated

Regards

Tony

Hi,

Your provider will contact the credit agencies and the IVA should be removed - give it a week or so as they may have a bit of a backlog and if it's still there then send a copy to the agencies and ask them to remove it.

In the normal course of events the IP will inform the Insolvency Service when the completion certificate is issued. The insolvency Service then report to the credit reference agencies. It should happen without intervention from you, but will take as few months.
