Hi I've paid my Iva for 6 years and over a week ago I returned a letter signing over PPI after receiving a letter saying "were keen to issue your completion certificate " but need to give up PPI which I don't have a problem with . I'm now getting a bit worried as still not heard anything ( it was sent 1st class recorded ) and not sure how far they are up to with my final review . I can't sleep for worrying . What will happen now ? What's the procedure ? Many thanks for any replies in anticipation !

It will depend on which company you are with as to when the completion letter is sent out.

Give them a ring to see how things are going.

Some firms take up to 6 months to close a case.

A week is not a particularly long time for them to receive and action the PPI letter. I would wait another week then send them a written request for an update.

How long ago was your final payment -- the clock starts ticking fom then really -- the PPI issue can run alongside.

I would keep pressing them now - you can agree to sign a deed of assignment so that any further PPI goes to the creditors and they can then issue that all important piece of paper!!

Thanks, yup I've sent that - my worry is they are going to turn round and say I need to / should of paid more - I sent PPI deed 2 weeks ago recorded

They won't ask for anymore - just press them now for the completion letter and insist that it is sent out asap.

I too sent my PPI signed letter back to my IP but I did this early December. I sent it recorded and as I was worried about Christmas post I asked for them to confirm receipt which they did. I haven't heard anything so far this year. Like you, I'm eagerly awaiting my CC. Keep us updated how you get on. Fingers crossed your CC comes quickly

Thankyou - you too - I'm just so worried that they will now say i owe more from previous years read a few stories where they fail near end or had variations applied as they came for more money . I sent my p60s in but the company was always a bit lax and they often said they had been lost and had to resend - they did show a wage increase but nothing was ever done - so scared I will get stung at this late stage

It's perfectly normal to worry. Getting that CC is the only thing that will provide permanent relief for this! That said, Kallis is right, it's good to remain positive. You're so nearly there. Hang on in, the end is in sight.
