I can't seem to get the attention of the forum admin...
Tried E-mailing and messaging on the forum, what must i do to get my title as field expert ?

I am afraid patience is the key -- they do know of your presence and will respond in due course.

Just to say that it will be 'Industry Expert' if you accepted - not 'Field Expert.'

I do it as a volunteer having been through the whole process but would not want to do it as a profession.

Why not kallis, its amazing giving people free advise and sorting their lives and finances out. You get to hold their hand every step of the way ! very rewarding.

Unfortunately it is just free advice - not always correct but there are a number of my forum experts and industry experts who are there to pick me up - some of whom are friends off forum as well.

FYI I think you need to hit a certain amount of posts to become an expert. I can't remember if it was 100 or 500 when I joined.

Ohhh, so its based on posts and not profession/knowledge ?

The beauty of this forum is that, not only do we have those working in the industry posting, but also those that have been there and wear the tee-shirt !

The "ranking" for want of a better word is based on your knowledge and expertise -- this has to be demonstrated. You also need to show a commitment to help those requesting it.

I just found that, after all that asking you can just apply on the user control panel to be an expert haha. I should have just browsed the forum better, my bad

This forum layout is new to all of us -- having been revamped a few weeks ago. So, I must apologise for not knowing that.

The new comer has shown the old boy something new ??

The new layout has been a learning curve for us all.

And I still struggle with the layout !!
