Accounts back to default after IVA finished?!

Hiya

Wondering if I can get some help! I started my iva on 21/7/2011 with Freeman Jones. I settled via full and final settlement on 31/3/2014 and my IVA was supposed to come off my credit report completely yesterday! Release from the prison sentence day!

However one of my creditors who I had 5 accounts in my IVA with changed all 5 of those accounts from settled back to default and changed the default date from the 21/7/2011 so they now show on my report as defaults! Another creditor has a completely random date and also changed it from settled to default, and another one just has the wrong date as the default! Looking at my credit report these changes were all made on the 18th and 19th July 2017! Just 3 days before my IVA gets removed!

Is this allowed? Can they do this and put me back in handcuffs again? I have done my 6 years!
I've contacted freeman jones and all the creditors who have made the changes and put in a massive complaint about it but I feel hard done by! What can I do to speed this up and get it off my report! Liturally 3 weeks ago I was all settled and green and now I have 6 red defaults on my report!!

Can anyone help me?

Have a read here:

https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva- ... dit-record

and contact each data controller with an adaptation of the template letter ---- if they do not comply you can complain to the ICO.

Agree with Foggy - they should not do that. Hopefully you can get it sorted.

Hi Charlee,

Sadly it's not uncommon - we see it quite a lot when doing Mortgage applications. It's easily resolved just a pain.

Best of luck.

Ask them to amend the date of the defaults to the date of the start of the IVA, which should then drop off.
