I have an appointment with the Halifax on Wednesday to discuss a upgrade to my account ... I have been using an Easycash account through my IVA but now its finished I was a account with Debit Visa instead of my current Electron card ... has anyone got any advice

I used co-op cashminder during my IVA ( which comes with a Visa Debit card), but, after my IVA finished I wanted to upgrade the account in order to get a cheque book. I did wait until the IVA was off my files (but the bank knew all about it) and they upgraded with no hassle ... hopefully the Halifax will do the same for you.

Halifax were ok with our upgrade as soon as it was off file - hopefully they will understand and convert yours.

I upgraded with Nationwide with no problems at all and they also gave us a credit card.
