What we need to do to prep ourselves with a view to applying for a remortgage?

I am interested in getting a remortgage. I completed 6 years in an IVA this April. I am off the register and have checked my credit score which seems fairly good (bizarrely). I thought I would need to do a lot more to clear up my credit file but it is clear and in good shape. I want to try and get some advice about what we need to do to prep ourselves with a view to applying for a remortgage next early next year if possible. Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction?

I would suggest a word with Ryan and / or Shaun, who are whole of market brokers with experience in adverse credit. Both have helped many forum members.
Their details can be found under the "Quick Links" tab (top left) and then under "The Team" on the drop down --- they are towards the bottom of the list in yellow.
