Hi...,my creditors meeting is on the 20th Nov....do you think there is any chance they would let me set my first payment as the 28th Dec?! I know the answer is probably know but just trying to budget for Christmas and this would help me out

You can but ask. They usually want the first payment within 28 days, so you could just swing it. But you will need to have a chat about it with your IP sooner rather than later.

I agree - I made my first one within 28 days so you might be able to swing it but speak to your IP asap.

Thanks guys I have sent her an email, maybe something she can get a yay or nay at the meeting

either way I will just be happy to get the proposal agreed but it would certainly make Christmas easier if I could make the first payment on December pay day rather than Novembers.

Think it depends who you are with. Most 28 days but know step change is 2 months.

I would hope some flexibility is shown but in the mean time save the payments you would be making to creditors so you have a buffer to fall back on.

My virtual meeting was held in November. My first payment was taken yesterday (should have been 1st Jan, but bank holiday delayed it).
My council wanted to be included as a late addition, so I got a letter telling me to cancel my direct debit, meaning no council tax paid December, that January's payment would include council tax, then February and March would be normal figure. Not sure why the council wanted to be included as all was up to date and this meant they missed two payments as I was meant to pay Feb due to an issue their end, but all in it meant I had over £300 more during December than expected as no token repayments needed and no council tax. Hope you got approved and got the date that suited you. The weight that lifted when I got the call to say all agreed, no modifications required.

I's a new thing with council tax, it has to be included even if you are up to date.
