If you get an Iva I know it stays on file for 6 years but when after a year it’s completed do the debts still stay on your account creditors I mean thanks

If the IVA is completed early it will still remain on your credit files for the full 6 years. The individual debts also remain there until 6 years after the dates they are formally defaulted (which date should be on or before the IVA start date).

Hi Jane,
It's worth checking all 3 credit reports (Experian, Equifax and Callcredit/Noddle) as different Lenders subscribe to different Reports and some will check more than one.

You might find this quick video I made about cleaning up your credit record useful:

Noddle and Clearscore are also free credit agencies to consider using:

Hi Jane226
Technically they drop after after 6 years, provided that the Credit Reference Agencies hold correct/accurate data.
It's not unknown for the data to be inaccurate, & this is where you need to step in & dispute the data, and ask for it to be corrected/updated.
Some Lenders, such as Halifax have access to "Live" data, where as when you access your file it may not update the data that you can see until the end of the month.
