Morning

So I've paid my last IVA payment on the 25th December, My IVA was for 6 years and all up to date.

I've sent all my paperwork back for my final review.

Do I now sit and wait and hopefully get my certificate within 6 months.

I was with aperture (Ex debt free direct customer) and have heard some bad stories via this forum.

You might like to ask your IP to confirm your final payment has been made and it's in order to stop making payments, if they haven't advised you of this already.

Keep the pressure on them to close the case quickly as 6 months is the maximum endstop and is not really necessary.

As Lisa says it's worth contacting them regularly to make sure the Completion Certificate is issued asap so that you are removed from the Insolvency Register at the earliest opportunity.

I spoke to aperture a few months ago who confirmed that December would be the last payment month, also use the client portal which again shows N/A for next payment date.

Hi, I was with Aperture and my CC took 18 weeks, then another 3 months to come off the insolvency register.
Yours may be quicker but potentially you could be looking at up to 9 months from your last payment to coming of the register.
Unbelievable I know but some people wait longer. My advice would be, wait 3 months then ring your IP for an update. .

I agree with the above --- give it a couple of months then start chasing them with vigour. There have been brief flashes of indications that they are speeding up -- but previous experience tells that these flashes never ignite !

Also I use some credit score apps and noticed this over the last five weeks my credit score has basically the worse its ever been, is this due to the company's not being paid by the IP?

It will all be done in the end and your credit score will start to rebuild.

Your credit score means nothing until such time as the end of the IVA filters through when it will go up and then, when the IVA comes off the files at 6 years it will improve dramatically, as long as the defaults all come off too (which should happen if they have been correctly dated. Seeing as my IVA run for 6 years (just over 6 years due to some missed payments over the course of IVA) will the IVA come off the files as soon as the certificate is issued?

Not quite -- it has to wait until you come off the Insolvency Register ( three months after the certificate has been issued ) and then the internal delays due to their processes ( a few weeks possibly)
