Getting a mortgage post IVA

My IVA started in 2010 and was removed from file in 2016.
I have had no problems getting credit since and not missed a payment.
Now in 2019/2020 do you think I will have issue getting a mortgage with a normal high Street lender?

You may be ok but have a word with either Ryan or Shaun who are our resident mortgage brokers on here.

You were lucky to walk into the right branch! We hear of more refusals this way than success stories. And, of course, if you pick the wrong branches a few times, the refusals will re-stain that shiny credit record again!
We have also had a few instances where people have been offered a "Yes" in principle, gone on to find the house they want and then been refused on full application !
Yes, the High Street rates are out there ... but you do need to know where to find them ( or know someone who does) or as "The Truth" did, you may just 'get lucky'.

Some Lenders will never lend following a previous IVA but there are quite a few High Street Lenders that we deal with who will be happy to lend some of which offer better interest rates when an application is made via ourselves rather than directly with the Lender.
